$10 Million Saturday Lotto Winner Can Buy Dream Home

Saturday 9th January was a good one for the lucky Oz Lotteries customer from NSW who was one of the 7 Division 1 winners in the $10,000,000 Special event! The lucky Saturday Lotto winner took home an incredible $1,429,498, including Divisions 1, 3, 4 and 6!

In complete disbelief when he received the phone call, him and his wife pulled over in the car to double check his account. He said “I thought this was a joke from one of my mates… I feel like i’m going to be sick!”.  After double checking his account, him an his wife hugged in shock. “You’ve changed my life, thank you!” expressed the lucky winner.

The lovely couple happened to be on their way to inspect a house by the water they are interested in buying. If this isn’t a sign I don’t know what is! He said “This area we are looking at is where we want to retire and then we got this call, we can’t believe it”.

The man in his 30’s decided he wasn’t going into work that night, but instead would enjoy a nice bottle of champagne with his wife and celebrate. He said they were going to sit by the water and soak in the fact that their future had changed. The couple have had a few smaller wins in the past, but never expected to take out the main prize.

The winning numbers on the night were: 9, 22, 34, 20, 7, 45 and supplementary number 12 and 10.

What was the Special Event Draw?

There are several times during the year when Saturday Lotto has special draw events. Superdraw is a regular event, occurring 6 times a year, and offers Division 1 prize pool of $20 Million and over. Megadraw is the most popular annual Saturday Lotto event, usually held the weekend before or after the New Year holiday, and has a Division 1 prize pool of $30 Million or more. There are also sporadic $10 Million Special Event draws through the year. These can occur twice a year and can be a simple Division 1 prize pool increase, or a $10 Million-YEAH event.
