Could Lotto Win Spark Old Romance?

It has been a great start to the new year with twenty-five winners sharing in $70,000,000 with Saturday Megadraw and Oz Lotto.

The Saturday Megadraw 3803 on 30 December 2017 saw a total of twenty-one winners share in the division one prize of $1,428,571.43. One of the winners was a man from Coomera in Queensland. He said his first thought was about his ex and if they would reconsider the breakup knowing of his win. He joked “Does my ex want me back?”

Whilst the man is still coming to terms with his win, he said that he didn’t really know what he wanted to use the money for.

The winning ticket was a 24-game QuickPick which included the six winning numbers: 6, 30, 9, 35, 27, 37 and the two supplementary numbers: 4 and 14. The winning tickets were spread across Australia and included winners from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australian, with some of the tickets purchased online.

A woman from Labrador on the Gold Coast was also in disbelief when she had found out about her win. She didn’t know if she should laugh or cry upon hearing the news. “It’s wonderful!” the woman sobbed. “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. It’s a big relief. When they told me I had won I just went numb – totally numb. I can’t believe it. You don’t know how great this is. This is just fantastic!” The winner had purchased a 36-game QuickPick. When asked about what she planned on doing with her win, she said that she plans on paying off her mortgage and is hoping that retirement is a little closer.

Another woman from Nundah was over the moon with her win and said that she can now achieve her dream of buying her own BMW. “I’ve always said if I ever win the Lotto that’s my first stop”. The woman in her 50s had purchased a 24-game QuickPick and was in such disbelief of her win that she actually slept with the ticket under in her pillowcase – just in case.

The Oz Lotteries winner was also over the moon to hear about her win on Oz Lotto’s division 1 prize on Tuesday. When a team member from our Customer Support Team called her to tell her the amazing news she was in shock and found the news hard to believe. “I can’t believe this is happening. Unbelievable!” she had exclaimed.

When asked about her plans, the woman mentioned that she currently had her sister staying with from overseas. She plans on using her winnings to buy her a house here. She also mentioned that she plans on renovating her own house.
