A young man from Sydney’s inner-western suburbs was left “shocked and speechless” after receiving a phone call at work. The call was to inform him that his Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket had scored the entire $6.8m jackpot in the draw on the 15th of January!
“Are you serious? Wow, wow, wow!” he exclaimed. “You’ve made my day, you’ve made my life!”
The winner told lottery officials that he was a regular lotto player. But only days earlier he was saying that he never won anything.
“It’s one of those things you hear about all the time – you hear people winning. But you don’t think you’ll ever win it. I don’t know how to respond to this!”

The winner said that the $10,000,000 windfall would change things, but that the couple intended to keep travelling. “There will definitely be a caravan upgrade. We’ve been looking at getting a new one but couldn’t afford it. But first we’d better go home and put the groceries away!”
