The cold winter months are looking a lot more golden for four Queenslanders who won Division 1 in a recent $21,000,000 Superdraw!
A family syndicate from the Logan suburb of Browns Plains had a happy Mother’s Day celebration after winning a total of $1,248,288.92 in Division 1 and minor divisions. The syndicate leader didn’t realise their System 8 ticket matched the winning numbers until another syndicate member rushed to the family gathering on Sunday to share the good news – they were all lotto winners!
“We’ve been playing those same numbers together for around 25 years and the most we’ve ever won is about $600!” said the syndicate leader.
The winning family members all said they would use their share of the money to clear their mortgages and see the world.
“I was born to travel!” said one of the members.
Further south in Queensland, a Cold Coast couple won $1.2 million in Division 1 with a 12-game Standard ticket but simply couldn’t believe it!
“You’re kidding me, right?” said the winning husband. “I don’t believe you!”
He said the couple bought their ticket thinking “wouldn’t it be nice” but never expected to win the big one. They plan to use their massive prize to buy themselves a new home on Hope Island, a luxurious waterfront estate near Dreamworld.

Meanwhile, a woman from Plainland in the Lockyer Valley is also a new millionaire after winning $1.2 million in Division 1. She explained how she hadn’t played her favourite numbers in a “very long time” but decided to bring them back especially for Mother’s Day!
“I’ve had those lotto numbers since day dot,” she explained. “It’s such a surprise – I don’t even know what I’m going to do. I haven’t even thought about it to be honest!”
The lucky winner’s 12-game Standard ticket was purchased from a local newsagency.
The final Queensland Superdraw Division 1 prize went to a Morayfield syndicate of 20 who will share $1.2 million. Each member of the syndicate, run by a local newsagency, will take home $62,414.45. The owner of the newsagency reported that one of the winners came in with her family and said she “hadn’t slept a wink all night!”
The owner also said that most of the syndicate members were regular customers and that the money would come in “really handy” for them.
There were thirteen other Division 1 winners in the $21 Million Saturday Lotto Superdraw on May 9th, including five from Victoria, five from Western Australia, two from South Australia, and one from the Northern Territory.
The winning numbers from the $21 Million Superdraw 3527 were 29, 31, 32, 27, 13 and 4 plus supplementary numbers 36 and 34.
