Must I be an Australian resident to play?

No, you don't have to be an Australian resident to play lotto in All games are held in Australia by who can purchase games and make claims on behalf of its members. Every game purchased through is automatically registered in your name so any prize you win is fully guaranteed.

Why are entries closed a few hours before the official lottery draw?

Entries are closed at the current cut-off times before the official draw to ensure Oz Lotteries has a better chance of lodging entries before the draw takes place. displays the amount of time you have left to play next to each of the lotto games on the play page.

Will I get a ticket? is the bearer of your ticket and as such will hold onto it for you. You are able to view and print your tickets from the My Account section of the website.

How will I get paid?

Oz Lotteries will automatically deposit any winning funds into your Oz Lotteries account in accordance with the time frames outlined below. From there you can request a withdrawal of funds by cheque or by direct deposit in to your bank account.

Your ID must be verified prior to prize payment regardless of the amount of the prizes.

Please note that if you require funds to be transferred to a bank account outside of Australia, the minimum amount that can be transferred is A$100.

When will I get paid?

Official draw results are usually provided to Oz Lotteries within 12 hours (up to 48 hours for The Pools) of the draw taking place. Any prizes won will be displayed in your Oz Lotteries account on the day following the relevant draw.

Funds will be available for withdrawal/payment or use for further purchases as follows:

  1. Prizes for division 1 will be paid to you within 24 days after the draw date.
  2. Prizes for division 2 will be paid to you within 8 days after the draw.
  3. Prizes for other divisions will be available for withdrawal from your Oz Lotteries account on the day following the draw.

Do I pay tax on my winnings?

No tax is levied on winnings in Australia. However, it is the client's responsibility to abide by any relevant tax laws in their jurisdiction.

Systems & Super Combos

What is a System?

A System allows you to select more than the standard 6 numbers. For example, a System 7 allows you to pick 7 numbers and a System 8 allows you to pick 8 numbers and so on. The highest amount of numbers you can pick is 20 which is a System 20.

The benefit of playing a System is that your entry is equivalent to playing every possible combination of 6 numbers. For example, if you are playing a System 8, your entry is equivalent to all 28 possible combinations of 6 numbers from your 8 selections.

What is a Super Combo?

A Super Combo entry lets you enter more number combinations than a standard game entry, but does not cover all possible number combinations of a selected set of numbers like a Systems entry.


What is a syndicate?

A syndicate (or group play) allows you to share in the purchase of a Lotto ticket by sharing the cost between the members of a group.

If the syndicate ticket wins a prize, the total winnings will be divided equally among all of the members of the group.
Oz Lotteries offers two types of Syndicates Play Methods:
Oz Lotteries Syndicates (Default)
Open to all members of the public to join.

Oz Lotteries is the organiser and ensures that when all shares are sold a new syndicate is created for additional interested participants.

This is a great option for people who wish to join a syndicate without the hassle of organising and/or inviting friends.
Social Syndicates
Social Syndicates allow you to create your own syndicate and invite people you know.

If all shares aren't sold within 12 hours of draw time the outstanding shares are made available for the public to buy (to give the syndicate its best chance of selling all shares).

Social Syndicates offers organisers the ability to invite friends via Email, Hyperlink or Facebook as well as a handy tool to monitor who has bought each share and send additional invites.

Can I choose my numbers?

Currently all syndicate play is on a quick pick basis only, we have plans to implement number choosing for Social Syndicates in the near future.

Who collects money and pays winnings?

Oz Lotteries handles all collection of payments, ticket lodgement and distribution of winnings directly with each syndicate shareholder. A full transaction history including results is made available to members within their account.

Can I set up a syndicate using

Members are only able to play the syndicate selections we have available on our website.

How do I set up an account?

You can set up an account in one of several ways:

* Enter the My Account section where you will be prompted to set up an account if you are not yet a member.

Can I use PayPal to Deposit/Withdraw funds?

Yes, OzLotteries now accepts PayPal for deposits and withdrawals!

Please note the following:

PayPal is only available for Australian residents.
Only one (1) PayPal account may be associated with an OzLotteries account — this means you are not permitted to use different accounts to deposit to the one OzLotteries account.
For fraud protection reasons, members that use PayPal for deposits must withdraw the same amount (as they’ve deposited) via PayPal until they can utilise other withdrawal methods (Bank Transfer, Cheque). E.g. If you deposit $10 using PayPal, your must first withdraw $10 via PayPal.

How old do I need to be to play lotto with

It is a requirement of membership that all members verify their identity with Oz Lotteries when requested. If a member is not able to verify their identity and age, their account will be suspended and any outstanding funds will be held in trust until the member is able to comply with our identity verification request.

You can deposit funds from your credit card, direct deposit from your bank account, BPay (Australian Residents Only), cheque or by PayPal. The deposit (Credit Card and PayPal) will appear as OZLOTTERIES (or similar) on your statement.

If you choose to deposit funds from your bank account you need to arrange a transfer through internet banking (or at a branch) after you have completed the "Deposit Funds" notification on this site.

Please also note that funds deposited to your account from a credit card cannot then be transferred to a bank account. If you choose to withdraw these funds without making a purchase they will be transferred back to the same card from which they were debited.

What is the minimum deposit amount & increment?

The minimum deposit amount for credit card, direct deposit, cheque or PayPal is AUD$5.
The minimum deposit amount for BPay (Australian Residents Only) is AUD$10.

Deposits should be made in $5 increments (Eg. $10, $15, $20 etc).

In order to streamline the purchasing process we have incorporated the deposit funds function into our checkout.

If your account has insufficient funds for a pending purchase you will be required to deposit additional funds via credit card or PayPal, where the minimum deposit is $5.

Any funds remaining in a customer account after a deposit is made and pending purchase processed are available for future purchases and withdrawals.

How can I make a withdrawal?

Simply click on the Withdraw Funds link in the in the My Account section. Please note that for international customers there is a minimum transfer amount of AUD$100.00 for most countries.

Do you send out account statements?

We do not send out regular account statements. Your playing history is available to you online via the My Account section.

ID Verification

What is ID verification?

ID verification is a process put in place by OzLotteries in order for its customers to verify who they are including their age & state of residence.

Customers are required to complete an ID verification form and return to OzLotteries with a copy of valid identification and a document that contains your residential address (if not included on your provided ID).

Why do I have to verify my ID?

It's a requirement that all OzLotteries customers be over the age of 18 and provide correct personal details including their residential address. In order to assure any prize winnings are paid to you, you must verify your identity.

What are accepted identification documents?

Accepted identification documents are copies of official identity documents, these include:

  - Passport
  - Drivers Licence
  - Proof of Age Card
  - National Identity Card

To prove your residential address, if it is not included on your photo ID, documents such as utility bills are accepted.

Where can I download an ID verification form?

ID verification forms are pre-filled with your account details, in order to download your form you must click the "ID Verification" link in the navigation menu once logged in. You can also access the form via this link.

How do I know if my account is verified yet?

Upon documents being received and your account being verified by OzLotteries you will be emailed a confirmation email by OzLotteries.

What if I do not verify my identity?

Verification of identity is mandatory, if a customer is unable to verify their identity OzLotteries will block access to their account and any funds will be frozen and held in trust until such time the account holder can verify their identity.

Reward Points / Loyalty Program

Does OzLotteries have a loyalty / rewards program?

Yes! Oz Lotteries has its own loyalty points program called Lotto Points. Members of Oz Lotteries can automatically earn points on all purchases, and redeem these points for lotto tickets or discounts on future purchases.

How do I earn Lotto Points?

To earn Lotto Points on your purchases, you need to be subscribed to receive either promotional or results emails at the time your ticket is processed in our system. Please note that processing occurs some time after your order is placed via checkout. You can check that you are receiving promotional emails and/or the newsletter in your account's email settings.

How many Lotto Points do I earn and what are they worth?

One (1) Lotto Point is awarded per $1 spent on ticket purchases. Points are only issued upon ticket entries (including payment for them) being confirmed.

One (1) Lotto Point can be redeemed for $0.01 worth of lottery entries on Points can not be redeemed for cash.

For example, 50 Lotto Points are worth $0.50.

How do I use my Lotto Points?

There are two ways you can redeem your points:

Automatically - Choose to have your points count towards a discount on entries when you have enough points. This means when you have a preset minimum, eg. 50 points, that 50 points is applied as a discount to your next order, so $0.50 is removed from the purchase total. If you make a purchase and your points balance is not at that minimum level, no points are redeemed.

Manually - Choose to redeem as many points as you like when you are making a purchase. Eg. if you have 250 points, you can choose to redeem any amount of points up to 250 points to count as a discount on your purchase.

Using the manual option you can make a purchase using just Lotto Points; simply add products to your basket that are equal to less than the total value of your points balance, and you can use your Lotto Points to complete the entire purchase.

How do I join Lotto Points?

All members are eligible for Lotto Points by default. If you are an Oz Lotteries member you do not have to do anything to join Lotto Points.

However please note, if you are not subscribed to receive either promotional or results emails from you will not be eligible to earn Lotto Points until such time as you subscribe. Unsubscribing will not affect your ability to redeem existing Lotto Points you have earned to date.

Can I redeem Lotto Points for cash?

No, you can not redeem your Lotto Points for cash. You can only use your Lotto Points to purchase lotto tickets or for discounts on lotto tickets at

How do I check how many points I have?

There are two places within your Oz Lotteries account that you can see your Lotto Points balance:

1. On the Overview page in your Oz Lotteries account, your Lotto Points balance is displayed in the 'Account Details' box.

2. On the Lotto Points page in your Oz Lotteries account you can view your Lotto Points balance as well as a history of your Lotto Points transactions.

What happened to Jumbo Rewards?

You may recall that we used to operate our loyalty points program through Jumbo Rewards ( Unfortunately Jumbo Rewards has closed down.

We have now launched our own loyalty program called Lotto Points, so you can still earn reward points on all lottery ticket purchases and redeem them for lotto tickets. Lotto Points is even easier than Jumbo Rewards, as it's fully integrated with your Oz Lotteries account. We hope you like it!

OzLotteries Apps

Do you have a mobile App?

Yes we currently have an iPhone App on the iOS App store which can be downloaded here, or by searching for "Oz Lotteries" in the App Store.
We have plans to launch an Android App & Tablet friendly interface soon.

What can the App do?

Users can access recent and historic Australian Lottery Results (all games we sell), Push Alerts for Results and future Jackpots as well as view Ticket History and Account Balance if logged in with their Oz Lotteries account credentials.

Do you have to be an Oz Lotteries member to install/use the App?

No, anyone can install and use the App - some select features are member only such as Ticket Prize Alerts and Customer Account balance but the remainder is open to everyone.
