One of the most critical equipment that St John Lottery funds are defibrillators. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is one of the leading causes of death in Australia. More than 6,500 Victorians alone suffer from it every year. Survival rates reduce by 10% for every minute that passes if a defibrillator is not used.
Your ticket purchase will raise funds needed to equip the St John Ambulance volunteers and the community with more defibrillators and ensure they are used when needed. The more tickets you buy, the greater is your contribution! For 3 tickets a first aid kit is provided to the volunteer. For 10 tickets – a volunteer will be trained in advance resuscitation to save a life!
