There were seven lucky Saturday Lotto winners all around Australia in the recent $4,000,000 Saturday Lotto draw on the 9th of July. With the $20,000,000 Superdraw just a few weeks away, there’s never been a better time to play Saturday Lotto! The odds of winning are better than the more popular Oz Lotto and Powerball, and you can even increase your chances of winning with a System or Syndicate ticket.

The first Saturday Lotto winner is still a mystery, but the winning ticket was purchased from a local newsagency in Burwood. The mystery winner has a Division 1 prize worth over half a million dollars waiting for them , and lottery officials are urging players in the area to check their tickets and get in contact if they hold the winning numbers.

The second winner was a retired woman from Plumpton in Sydney’s western suburbs. She purchased her winning 6-game Quickpick from a local newsagency and won a total of $579,350.82 in prize money. She literally squealed for joy when she received the phone call telling her the good news. The call was interrupted by her husband giving her a kiss and asking “What are we going to do with all that money?” The couple plans to do some repairs on their home and share with family.

The third winning ticket was purchased from a local newsagency in Charnwood, and brought an ACT couple over $591,000 across multiple divisions. They couple came home from a night out and checked their System 8 Quickpick against the numbers from that evening’s draw and realised their lives had changed forever. The excited couple said they “couldn’t go to sleep” after that and had to call their families to share the news. They plan to pay off their debts and take a holiday.

The fourth winning ticket came from the sunshine state. An anonymous lotto player from the Townsville suburb of Deeragun has come forward to claim their half a million dollar prize but wishes to keep their identity secret. The winning System 8 ticket was purchased from a local newsagency and lottery officials have been in contact with the winner.

The fifth winner was located in Camira, an Ipswich suburb, where the $579,000 prize went to a retired couple. The winning wife said she had been checking her ticket against the winning numbers in Saturday’s draw, when her husband quickly checked them online and beat her to the punch! The couple purchased their winning 12-game Standard ticket from a local newsagency and said the best part about winning was being able to “break the amazing news that we’d won Gold Lotto to our children”. They plan to share the prize money with their family.

The sixth winner, a woman from Whittlesea in north-eastern Melbourne, was ready and waiting for the phone call of her life after realising she had won over $579,000 on the weekend. She said she “hadn’t told a soul” about the news until it could be confirmed by lottery officials, and even needed the call to convince herself that it was real! She said she “screamed” at the newsagency after checking her ticket but her husband had kept a clear head and shushed her. The couple plan to pay off their house and make provisions for their future.

The seventh and final winner was a man from the small Northern Territory town of Humpty Doo said that his half a million dollar windfall would go a long way towards retirement following a lifetime of hard work. His winning 36-game Quickpick was purchased from a local newsagency of which he is a “long-standing customer”. He plans to use the money to “get out of the deep hole that is my mortgage” and take his children on a holiday to Queensland.
