• About the Game: The Pools is based on Australian and European soccer matches. You don't need to know anything about Soccer though - it can be played just like a normal lottery game.
• Each week, 38 matches are listed and numbered 1 to 38 inclusive. For a standard game you choose 6 numbers from the range of 1 to 38.
  
  The 6 matches that accumulate to the highest total drawn scores are the winning numbers (e.g. Match A with a final score of 4-4 has a higher total score than Match B which finished 3-3). The 7th highest result is the supplementary number.

Standard
A standard game refers to each standard line of numbers you select for a lotto game. Each standard game you play offers you a chance of winning one prize.

Syndicate

A The Pools syndicate (or group play) entry allows you to join an Oz Lotteries Syndicate which enables you to share System entries and prizes with other players. Syndicates allow you to cover more numbers by sharing the cost between the members of a group. Playing more games increases the chance of winning a prize. If the syndicate ticket wins a prize, the total winnings will be divided equally among all of the members of the syndicate.

System
A system allows you to play more numbers than for a standard entry providing you with an an entry covering every combination of the numbers you have chosen. This type of entry allows players to increase their chances of winning a prize by playing a wider range of number combinations.

Super Combo
A Super Combo entry lets you enter more number combinations than a standard game entry, but does not cover all possible number combinations of a selected set of numbers like a Systems entry.

The Pools offers 5 'divisions' or levels of prizes.

Here is what you need to match in one game to win a prize:

Division 1: All six main winning numbers
Division 2: Any 5 main winning numbers and the supplementary number
Division 3: Any 5 main winning numbers
Division 4: Any 4 main winning numbers
Division 5: Any 3 main winning numbers and the supplementary number

After each draw OzLotteries.com will send you an email confirming whether or not you have won a prize.

Results are announced on Monday after the last games are played, and the dividends are usually confirmed on Tuesday. Entries closing time varies depending on the soccer matches.
Entries close Saturday 1:00pm (AEST) during the Australian matches, and entries close Saturday 6:00pm (AEST) during the European matches.
